In this Virtonomics guide, I will walk you through one of the most important elements of Virtonomics – __Work efficiency__. This is, in my opinion, the most important element you must master in Virtonomics if you want to not only survive in it, but also excel in it. I will cover 4 very important topics in this article:

**#1 – What is work capacity?**

Work efficiency defines how efficient a subdivision is. If it is at 100%, it means the subdivision is working at 100% working efficiency; Similarly, if it is at 50%, it means that the sub-department is working at 50% efficiency only. This means that if the factory is operating at 50% efficiency, the production output is cut in half!

As you can see, if work efficiency is not properly managed for your sub-departments, it can mean the difference between a big dip in profit or loss. If you were to hire more than 5 employees, your required qualification would be higher than Q1, which would reduce efficiency. However, sometimes a little sacrifice in work efficiency for a higher sales return can be a good thing. Regarding the previous example, if you were to expand your store and hire 10 employees instead, you would actually experience increased sales volume due to the additional customers despite the reduced work capacity!
