Copy the Excel chart and paste it into the PowerPoint slide. To do this, follow the instructions below:

• Open the Excel file that contains the Excel chart. Go to the specific page and select the chart.

• Choose Copy from the Clipboard group of the Home tab and click on it.

• The chart is copied to the clipboard. Now go to the PowerPoint presentation.

To view the chart as a static image, select the ‘Paste as Image’ option. To keep the original format, choose the Keep Source Format option. You can also choose the Use destination theme option to paste and format the chart using the destination theme.

• To present a chart in a different design, its design can be changed by going to the Design tab and clicking on the Style form from the Chart Style option.

• You can use the picture format to view the chart as a still image and it will display a better quality image than the standard bitmap format.

You can insert charts from an existing Excel workbook. You do not need to recreate the chart in the PowerPoint presentation. You can import it from an Excel worksheet. The steps for this are as follows-

• Open the PowerPoint presentation and go to the slide where you want to insert the chart.

• After activating the slide, go to the Insert tab and select the Object button from the Text group and click on it.

• Select the Create New button to create a new chart. For example, select MS Office Excel Chart to create a new Excel chart.

• To insert a chart that is already in an Excel worksheet, click the Create from File button, then click OK.

• Click the Browse button and navigate to the file containing the chart. Select the file and click OK.

• There is link box, click it if need to link to source file. Then click OK.

• Chart can be displayed as an icon without pasting it. To do this, check the Display as icon check box and click OK.

• An Excel workbook icon will appear on the slide. Drag it to the location you want to set it.

• Resize and position the chart in the source file if needed.
