Tim Sales is clearly the best MLM trainer in the entire industry. I want you to think of all the coaches out there…who could network Larry King to interview them? Not many names come to mind. Tim did it, and I watched him do it live. I know how this story turned out inside out, but suffice it to say I’m not here to tell the whole story. I’m here to talk about why 98% of network marketers fail at MLM. I think it’s a combination. Their communication skills are terrible and they don’t know how to market. You can be a great communicator but if you have no one to talk to you are all dressed up and nowhere to go. Also, you can have all the leads in the world but if you can’t connect with those prospects you’re going to throw yourself in the face. I’ve watched it over and over again.
Just like you should have a system to build your team. System to generate leads. A system for marketing. You should have a systematic plan for how to talk to everyone. I love online network marketing, but you can’t hide behind your computer and expect people to sign up with you without talking to them. You can’t be in or out of a social setting and screw it up and think you’ll make great connections in your everyday life. Also, I keep hearing the statement that once you generate your leads you should pick up the phone and “build the relationship.” Friends this is 100% true. But “build a relationship” doesn’t give you a clue about how to build a relationship.

Ultimately, you will brand yourself as a professional whether you build your business online or offline.
