Patio Gazebo Plans – Uncover Useful Techniques To Make A Summerhouse

Patios are one of the most beautiful areas of any home and you can make it even more beautiful by building a gazebo on it using some simple patio gazebo plans. Building a gazebo in the yard is very easy and similar to building a gazebo on the ground. You just need to be careful about the pavement of the courtyard so that it is not damaged while building your pagoda. Let’s see how to make a simple octagonal gazebo in the yard.

Flooring: Usually most courtyards have simple footpaths known as blocks. These are very tough so you need strong tools to work with them.

Clean the floor thoroughly and cut overgrown grass and weeds. If your patio is circular then you can proceed to the next step otherwise you need to draw a rough circular shape on the patio with the help of thread and chalk. Use them as a compass.

Footing: To craft a wooden gazebo, you must have a basic plan. Get five equal length poles, 80″ or 85″ and then make a star sign in the middle of your floor to make an octagonal gazebo. All poles must match. Each of these posts should form a 45 degree angle. Now fix it firmly and then mark the points formed next to your star sign.

Build the basic structure: Divide the circle you just made or the already circular yard into eight equal parts. For this either use the known geometric formula to form a hexagon and do it twice or use this method. Tie together 5 equal length poles of any material. Preferably keep the length the same as the diameter of the circle. Now tie them in such a way that they intersect with each other. You will have a star shaped structure. Place it in the center of the circle and mark eight points.

After you have marked the eight points you need to start digging. You can either remove the pavement from the point you marked or break it up nicely. You must dig the holes deep enough. Now you can install equal lengths of posts in these holes. Place these poles one by one in each hole and fill the hole with concrete base mix. Let it dry.

ceiling: The next step according to your patio gazebo plan is creating the roof. After a day, check to see if the concrete has dried. Check the length of the posts and cut them if they are uneven. To make the head beam take 8 poles of equal length and material and nail them one by one to the top of the poles. You will now have an octagonal shaped head beam.

Bracing: For bracing take 16 poles of equal length and screw them to the supporting poles and head beams in such a way that the bracings form a trident shape with the supporting poles. Decorate these poles with artistic brackets.

top: Take another eight equal wooden beams and one smaller wooden beam. Nail these wooden beams one by one to the octagonal structure and the smaller wooden beam, the hub. An octagonal pyramid-like shape will be formed. Protect it properly.

Covering: Cover it with plywood. Scale windows created with poles, pyramids. These triangular windows can then be traced onto the plywood. Cut these shapes though keeping in mind to keep these triangles slightly larger than your shapes. Staple these shapes one by one from the inside of the window. Use grain for waterproofing. Your gazebo on the patio is ready to be enjoyed as long as you follow patio gazebo plans to a T.
